Here come the vibes ladies and gentlethems, my dears and queers. Hot off the presses.
Thursday 26.
House of Lunacy - Fantasy Fairground
Renate
God I love a theme party and Lunacy is the most chaotic sexy theme party of them all. There is nothing like spiraling through the labyrinth that is Renate, dressed in a flimsy little DIY costume, boogying on dancefloors that you may or may not ever find again, and maybe mushing makeup with a weirdly sexy jester. Not the most FLINTA* crowd sometimes but damn this is a party that needs to be experienced. You do need a costume. No effort, no entry.
Friday 27.
Interzone
Secret Location (telegram bro)
Here's the queer party people fighting the good fight for our club culture. Queer, anticapitalist, DIY techno sensation that brings in the sweetest little community of oddballs. The DJ lineup is a secret but you can expect some damn nice techno.
DONNAWETTER
M01
Queer feminist DJ collective crew.port is taking over M01 this Friday night. This is a new one for me so can't say too much on the vibe but expect some good ol' techno and house from an all-FLINTA* lineup (as is the door and awareness team). Two floors and a garden to chill in, I predict a vibe-and-a-half.
Saturday 28.
ROCKSTAR GIRLFRIENDS
Badehaus
Oh boy, a brand-spanking-new FLINTA* party on the horizon. And it's all rock, all night; Nirvana, Green Day, Linkin Park, Paramore. My only question is... what took so long? Where has this been all my life? Dykes wanna to mosh. They wanna headbang. We got some rage to yell out. Rage that we can only satiate by yelling to the music of a mildly problematic white dude who's fame peaked in 2006. And also Avril Lavigne.
OXIgarten Invites: Lecken
OXI
Lecken is taking over the OXI garden this Saturday for a day party that might just be the finest way to say farewell to your Summer day parties. They're finest group of folks dedicated to putting queer and feminist values onto the dancefloor and that's a DJ ticket to kill with our local legends Perra Inmunda and Skankstasy to lighten your step. Don't know if it will be quite as queer as the usual Lecken crowd given it's the OXI invite series but I swear on my soul that music could heal a heartbreak. It's gonna be gorgeous.
Sunday 29.
SWEAT: EXPRESS
Lark
Temperatures might be cooling but things are heating up this Sunday in Lark. SWEAT is bringing an evening of dancefloor healing to end your weekend right. Real cute folks on the lineup: Triqi, Dgeral, Rachel Noon and James Lotion b2b Sparkly Pony. And to top it off a performance by local legend The Darvish. It's going to a great night to dance, boogie and be with the community.
